Show yourself or your business in a new light. As a personal branding photographer in Champaign-Urbana, I can help you display what makes you unique. Personal Branding Photography goes well beyond a headshot. It shows you in your native environment, interacting with co-workers and customers. Your personality can come through to get to the heart of who you are. It may even include you with your hobbies or other routines. Gives insights into your personality and distinguishes you from others in your field.
My artistic ability showed up at an early age. I would often draw with pencil and paper for hours at a time. This continued all the way through high school. I also gained appreciation for portrait photography on the covers of magazines. These captivated my interest, if only to be used as reference material for my drawings. But there was something deeper going on. Eventually, I wanted to take my own photographs. I borrowed a friend's camera and enrolled in a photography course. Almost immediately, I gained appreciation for photography as its own art form. This led me to want to improve my abilities in this area. I read books and took other courses. This continues to this day. I desire to learn as much as I can in all of my areas of interest.
I have many tools at my disposal. I work in both traditional and digital media. Painting in oil and drawing with graphite, colored pencils, and other traditional media. I also work in electronic mode with a camera, computer, and graphics tablet. These are all tools for artistic expression. Each has its own advantages and limitations. Whatever the medium, I am completely immersed in the process.
I strive to always improve my skills, to grow as an artist and person, and to help others do the same.
I believe that I have been entrusted with certain artistic abilities and am responsible for developing and using those talents to find fulfillment. I encourage others to do the same. I believe that each person can find fulfillment when they discover and develop their talents and learn to live life with purpose.
I take a positive approach to life and an idealistic approach to artistic interpretation. That said, some of my images will expose an uncomfortable truth, like the image at left, which explores the concept of the masks we wear. How often are we honest and vulnerable enough to let others see our true selves?
